SMS Terms & Messaging Policy

Last Updated: July 3, 2026

1. Who Sends These Messages

MyCPACRM is a client relationship and workflow management platform for accounting and tax firms, and is a product of YOO Technologies Inc. ("we", "us", "our"). MyCPACRM sends account-related text message reminders to the clients of accounting firms that use the platform.

All text messages are sent by MyCPACRM (YOO Technologies Inc.) from its toll-free number, and MyCPACRM is the business you are consenting to receive messages from. Every message is clearly identified as coming from MyCPACRM. Your accounting firm may be named within the message for context (so you know which filing or appointment it relates to), but MyCPACRM is the party sending the message and the party to which you give consent.

2. Program Description

The MyCPACRM SMS program is a transactional, account-related notification service. It is not used for marketing or promotional messaging. Messages relate solely to the recipient's existing relationship with their accounting firm, and may include:

  • Reminders of upcoming tax and compliance filing deadlines (e.g. GST/HST, payroll, corporate, personal)
  • Appointment confirmations and reminders
  • Notifications that a document has been requested, received, or is ready for review
  • Status updates on the client's filings or requests

3. How Clients Opt In (Consent)

SMS reminders are strictly opt-in and are turned off by default. A client provides express consent by signing in to their secure client portal, opening Notification Preferences, and enabling the "SMS Reminders" toggle. No text message is ever sent unless the client has actively enabled this setting.

The exact opt-in control and consent language shown to clients in the portal is reproduced below:

Consent is recorded with a date-stamped audit trail. Consent is never purchased, rented, or obtained from third parties — it is given directly by the client through the portal.

4. Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on the client's filing schedule and appointments. Messages are event-driven (for example, ahead of a filing deadline or a scheduled appointment), so most recipients receive only a small number of messages per month.

5. Cost

MyCPACRM does not charge recipients for text messages. However, message and data rates may apply depending on the recipient's mobile carrier and plan.

6. How to Opt Out or Get Help

Recipients can opt out of SMS messages at any time using either method:

  • Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe. A single confirmation message will be sent, after which no further texts are sent.
  • Turn off the "SMS Reminders" toggle in the client portal under Notification Preferences.

For help, reply HELP to any message, or contact MyCPACRM support at info@mycpacrm.com. Opting out of SMS does not affect email notifications or the client's ability to use the portal.

7. Privacy & Data Sharing

We do not sell or share mobile opt-in information, phone numbers, or SMS consent data with third parties for their own marketing purposes. Phone numbers are used solely to deliver the account-related messages described in this policy, and are processed by our messaging provider only to transmit those messages.

Our handling of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, and use of the platform is governed by our Terms of Service.
