Set up the employer once

Maria adds Bloom Dental as an employer: payroll account, province, pay every two weeks, regular remitter. When the clinic hires, the new employee fills in one form with their TD1 and banking. No paper, no retyping.

Sep 14 · Period closes

The hours are already in

Staff at the clinic punch in and out with a PIN. When the period closes, Maria opens the timecards. Seven are clean and approved in one click. One person forgot to punch out, and that is the only card she has to look at.

The pay run, in five clear steps

Period, hours, review, approve, pay. The approved hours flow straight in. CPP, EI and income tax are worked out on the CRA's own formulas, for every employee, in one click. Maria checks the register, not a calculator.

A second person approves

Dr. Brooks asked for a $250 bonus for Jessica. When Maria added it during review, the system asked her why. David, who has approval rights, sees the change and the reason, and approves the run. Only the people you choose can approve payroll.

The books update themselves

If you also keep Bloom Dental's books, the approved run posts its journal entry straight into them. Wages, the employer's share, what is owed to the CRA and net pay, each to the right account. Nobody keys in a payroll entry again.

September had two pay runs. The source deductions from both are added up for the month, with the due date set by Bloom Dental's remitter type. Maria prints the PD7A, the clinic pays, and she marks it remitted. The payroll card on the Work board moves with it.

T4s from a year that is already done

Every run of the year is already in. Maria generates the slips, and a reconciliation checks them against what was remitted before anything goes out. Then she files the XML with the CRA and emails each employee their T4. Before, this was a week. Now it is an afternoon.
