The Walk-Through
Sep 30 · Quarter ends
When Maple Plumbing was set up as a quarterly GST/HST client, all four quarters were created with their CRA due dates. Each one went straight to Priya, the client's preparer, with David as reviewer. Nobody makes a list. Nobody remembers.

DUE Oct 31, 2026
Oct 10 · Day 10
Ten days after the quarter ends, Tom gets a text and an email. It lists exactly what to send and has a secure link to send it. If nothing comes, a second reminder goes on day 20. Once the return is filed, reminders stop on their own.

Sarah, the partner, does not need a status meeting. Each person has their own column of work, with status and days left on every card. If Priya gets busy, David drags the card to someone else and it is handed over, with its history.

Priya imports the statements and they are read in seconds. A grid checks every account against the quarter and names the exact days that are missing. Tom forgot one Visa statement. One click asks him for just that one. It arrives the next day.

David has one question. He asks it on the return itself, not in an email that gets lost. Priya answers, David signs off, and the record shows who prepared it, who reviewed it, and when. Nobody can sign off their own work.

Priya clicks Finalize. The numbers freeze, so nothing changes after review. The return picks up the amount owing, and the working papers and summary are attached to it. Anyone who opens it later finds everything in one place.
